The Road Jacket is an unstructured jacket of our own design, based on cycling jackets of the 1940’s . As part of our Dayware range it is best suited for casual settings but still has first rate details such as the hand made button holes and single-needle stitching.

Made from a hearty Casentino wool, this jacket comes equipped with two front pockets featuring a cropped and casual fit. Casentino originated in the Tuscan town of the same name, where wool-making has been a tradition since the middle ages. Casentino’s distinctive look comes from little ringlets that fray off from the fabric’s surface. The effect looks a little like pilling, but is intentional, in order to make the wool both warmer and more durable. Designed to be long enough to cover the waistband of a trouser, but short in the style of denim or motorcycle jackets.
