The UT5-TANC is a special edition watch developed in collaboration with Mark Cho of The Armoury, Nigel Cabourn, and UNIMATIC, born out of long-standing friendships and a shared appreciation for military design. Mark, a long-time admirer of Nigel Cabourn’s love of vintage military field watches (particularly those in the spirit of classic IWC), envisioned pairing Nigel’s distinctive, slightly quirky use of color with UNIMATIC’s restrained, almost brutalist sense of design.

This watch is built on Unimatic’s 36mm “Modello Cinque” case, which maintains strong water resistance while offering proportions that better suit enthusiasts who prefer smaller, classic field watch sizing.

A defining feature is its cerakote-coated case: a highly durable ceramic finish that has been uniquely aged and patinated. This special treatment gives the watch a subtle, lived-in character and marks the first time Unimatic has executed this kind of finish. Additional design details include a small orange gasket at the dial edge, a nod to Nigel Cabourn’s signature approach to color accents.

It uses a quartz movement with a sweeping seconds hand, preserving the visual charm of a mechanical watch. The dazzle camouflage caseback is co-signed by both The Armoury and Nigel Cabourn and individually engraved and numbered out of 150.

As with every UNIMATIC Toolwatch, it is designed to be worn every day and features UNIMATIC’s proprietary 360° protection system for a restrained military aesthetic and utilitarian character. The dial is dark navy with large printed Arabic numerals. The hands are lumed and feature an international orange tip on the lollipop seconds hand for legibility against the dial. The dial is signed “Nigel Cabourn” in orange.

The UT5-TANC-A (Olive Case/Navy Strap) comes fitted with a navy blue nylon keeper two-piece quick-release strap, secured by green Cerakote™ stonewashed hardware signed UNIMATIC, while the UT5- TANC-B (Navy Case/Olive Strap) comes on a olive nylon keeper two-piece quick-release strap with navy blue Cerakote™ stonewashed hardware signed UNIMATIC.

The UNIMATIC U5S-TA2 ’10.15′ is a special edition celebrating 10 years of UNIMATIC and 15 years of The Armoury.

Ships January 2026. The dial’s track and hands are a mix of strong, contrasting colors and light, graphic shapes. The markings have a geometric simplicity, with a simple black track for the hours and a confident red double-track for the minutes. The hands are skeletonized and painted red to keep in harmony with the overall dial design.

Housed inside the 36mm stainless steel case of the U5S-TA2 is the automatic caliber Sellita SW200-1b, which operates at 28,800bph, has a power reserve of 41 hours, and includes a hacking feature.

The U5S-TA2 comes fitted with a quick-release red TPU strap and includes an additional black suede strap for added versatility. Each watch is presented in a co-branded UNIMATIC x The Armoury tough case, complete with a warranty card and unique ID seal. The caseback is engraved with anniversary markings and is numbered out of 120.

The monochromatic colorways reflect the beauty in simplicity mindset, something that can be seen in the UNIMATIC Modello Uno or U4 Classic models.
