Yohei Fukuda graduated from the esteemed cordwainers’ college, Tresham Institute, in the UK. He started with the various Northampton shoemakers, gaining skills and experience before finishing his time in the UK in the bespoke departments of GJ Cleverley and Edward Green, alongside the finest shoemakers in the world.

Fukuda-san has since returned to Tokyo to start his own operation, painstakingly crafting virtually flawless bespoke shoes, all fully by hand. His style is the pinnacle of British classicism, evocative of the best works of Cleverley, Tuczek and Lobb. He makes both strong chisel toes and softer almond toes; his signature style is the long vamp oxford, characterized by its long sweeping lines. The quality of the shoe is as close to perfection as possible, with fine work in the uppers and hand welted soles. Fukuda travels with a formidable selection of outstanding styles of his own design.
