We take a look at two of our favorite sport coats from this season’s collection and demonstrate their versatility with three looks.
The Pecora Nera series has been a favorite of ours since we first handled it a few years back. Whilst the vast majority of sheep have light wool that is easier to dye, this special breed of sheep have a dark fleece, which is left undyed. The result is a natural, durable and exceptionally soft fabric, ideal for the warmer months.
Kamau is wearing our house Model 6, our double-breasted model and a perennial favorite at The Armoury. He’s paired it with a Drake's tie and a crisp blue shirt.
Lighter colored trousers are a great option for the warmer months, and if you're looking to dress down a sport coat, white denim is an obvious choice. It pairs nicely with some of our brighter colored summer shirts such as our exclusive spread collar polo.
Our house Sport Chino from Ring Jacket is a casual staple. Featuring a one piece integrated waistband, high rise and tapered leg, they are flattering on all body types. Worn here with our summer shirt in a vintage inspired green and brown stripe.
In Jan's most formal look, the Model 3 sport coat is paired with a seven fold tie by Tie Your Tie and a white linen button down shirt.
When choosing wool trousers for summer, make sure to pay attention to the way it’s woven. If it’s an open weave it can be very light and breathable. Jan picked his high twist trousers paired with a custom holiday shirt by Ascot Chang and hudson loafers.
Inspired by shirts worn at beach resorts in the 1950′s, the key feature of the Holiday shirt is the one-piece collar and it’s generous roll. There’s nothing better than wearing the collar open on a warm summer’s day. Jan has worn the collar over the jacket collar for an even more casual summer look.
