Founded by Mark Cho and Elliot Hammer, the duo behind The Armoury’s acclaimed watch collaborations, Temporal Works is an independent brand built from first principles. Their pursuit: clarity, wearability, and timeless design.

The Romanesque is designed in collaboration with London-based watch designer Lee Yuen-Rapati and limited to 50 pieces. The Romanesque pairs the classic Series A case with custom Roman numerals that balance abstraction and tradition.

The numerals trace back to a 2022 drawing from Yuen-Rapati’s One Hour Watch series, his ongoing collection of original watch design drawings. In his series, he reduced Roman numerals to just two shapes: one long vertical line and a shorter horizontal one. The dial uses a two-piece sandwich construction. The upper section is finished in silver-white opaline, with each numeral individually laser-cut to reveal a glossy midnight blue lower dial beneath. The result is a dial with genuine depth, where the numerals read as sculpted openings rather than printed marks.
