Here we follow co-founder Mark Cho through the tobacco fields of the Dominican Republic.

Earlier this year, I had the chance to visit the Dominican Republic for the first time, joining our friends from Davidoff Cigars. We explored the rich culture of the old city and toured one of Davidoff’s farms in Villa González—without question, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.
On our third day, we visited the Jicomé facility, where we witnessed the intricate process of tobacco preparation: from fermentation to sorting. We were fortunate to have Pedro Pablo Pérez, Davidoff’s Master Blender, guide us through the tour with incredible detail and passion. We ended the day with a farewell party near Casa Hemingway.
It was truly an unforgettable trip—not only for the breathtaking scenery and superb cigars, but for the deep pride and craftsmanship we saw in every step of the process. I was genuinely moved. I hope you’ll enjoy your next Davidoff while scrolling through the posts from the trip and get a glimpse of their world through my eyes.
