The Chinese Lotus 1 cufflinks are cast from Qing dynasty decorative buttons that were used on ceremonial robes. The lotus pod represents fertility as well as purity - it’s roots are in mud but out of this an exquisite flower blooms. Two buttons have been linked together to create a unique pair of cufflinks.
